How to apply for multiple roles
Our secure database for applications does not permit the duplication of any job application. This means that you are best to prepare your first preference application, and select the locations in order with 1 being your first preference. It is to your advantage, however, to apply for each Location/vacant role. This is because there will be different panel members for each location, including the Regional Manager role.

Through Care
We operate a specialist Through Care service to complement our legal services across seven sites in Queensland. The goal of the Through Care Program is to support prisoners and youth detainees (both before and after release from prison/detention) in addressing their offending behaviour – and therefore reduce the prospects of them returning to prison/detention after their release. We achieve this by supporting both our clients as well as our communities through a community-based culturally strong casework service.
To join us you must be capable of attending to an array of agreed client needs, service system developments, and work confidentially with a variety of releasing prisoners/detainees and their kin. We offer a flexible learning and development project over the next two years, and the opportunity to strengthen your cultural competence. Your interest in trauma-informed practice, and reliable case-work goal reporting will be highly valued.
All Through Care Officers at ATSILS are required to work within the Child Protection system to ensure safety of children and young people, even if hired as an Adult Through Care Officer. The Queensland Government’s Working with Children Check is a mandatory process to complete, renew or update prior to commencing work with us. For further information visit the Blue Card Eligibility webpage of Blue Card Services, and review our Working with Vulnerable People Including Children policy.

National Criminal Record Check Requirements:
If you are invited to an Interview, please note you will be required to please bring (or show us via Teams/Skype) your current:
- Commonwealth (Australian) Identification documents with you (eg. one of the following: Full Australian Birth Certificate or Australian Citizenship Certificate, or Passport or Australian Certificate of Identity), or other formal Australian Government Immigration Certificate, plus
- Driver Licence or other State-government based photo-ID, plus
- Two of the following ID: Medicare Card or Centrelink Health or Concession Card, or Security Guard Crowd Control ID, Aviation or Maritime Security ID Card, Electoral Role registration, International Driver Licence, Consular Identity DFAT Card, Bank/EFTPOS Debit or Credit Card, or Australian tertiary student photo identity card.
Without these documents, both employer and candidate will not be able to proceed with formal verifications promptly, and an Offer of Employment will not be issued. This is because ATSILS has strict security and safety policy as a normal part of service at ATSILS. We use the services of CV Check for online merit checking. The requirements for providing identification and proving your residential address(es) for the past five years, are more strict than those for applying for a Practising Certificate or a Blue Card Working with Children Check. We will issue a “merit check” procedure to you after interview if you are the top candidate. We appreciate that you may have limited Commonwealth documents easily available, and that Passports are expensive and slow in production. We ask that you urgently approach a Government agency for immediate assistance to obtain a full Birth Certificate. For example: https://www.qld.gov.au/atsi/family-social-support/birth-certificates
