Our Ipswich Office seeks a skilled Legal Practitioner in Criminal Law. Our dedicated workplace, servicing both adult and youth jurisdictions offers an excellent advocacy development opportunity.

Ideally you will have at least two years’ PAE full-time experience, but those with less are welcome to apply if you have demonstrated advocacy skills and court acumen. Your experience with Duty Lawyer type responsibilities will be a distinct advantage. This position works alongside culturally strong Court Support Officers and skilled Administration Staff, who provide extensive service to this role and know our communities well.

Our Workforce Development Strategy will enable you to undertake both team and formal training to succeed. We look to candidates that can commence from December 2024, due to an internal transfer.

Provide high quality legal representation to clients in a variety of teams, based in any Queensland location with significant expectation of legal services to Regional and Remote Offices throughout Queensland. The ability to travel by road, air and in rare cases short sea trips will be essential for this role. It is estimated that 50% of work time will involve travel for extended periods, some of which are in remote locations.
